Gloucester City were defeated 1-0 by Kettering Town in the Isuza FA Trophy on Saturday, however, are expected to be reinstated into the competition.
Tyrone Lewthwaite, who signed for the Poppies from Bedford Town, was found to have been an ineligible player due to having already played in the competition earlier in the season for Bedford.
Because of this, Kettering are set to be kicked out of the FA Trophy, allowing Gloucester City to progress into the third round proper.

It is massive boost for City, who will now receive extra prize money to help Steve King in his squad rebuild, meanwhile for Kettering, a grave error has cost the club.
Kettering fans took to social media to express their frustration with the situation and the season so far, with the club sat in 20th in the National League North.
“We are becoming the joke club of the lower divisions” said one fan, while another described the season as an ‘utter embarrassment’.
With the draw for the third round commencing on Tuesday at 3.15pm, it is anticipated that the FA will today announce their official decision.
