Inside Christmas in Cheltenham 2022

The preparations for Christmas have begun in Cheltenham. Lights are up, ready to illuminate the Promenade and get everyone in that Christmas spirit. All of Cheltenham’s Christmas plans are in place, ready to go!

The Brewery Quarter Christmas Launch Party will take place on Saturday 19th November, from 3-7pm! Expect a party atmosphere, live music, local performers and even snow! The Mark Walby band will be playing everyone’s favourite Christmas classics. Father Christmas will also be there, along side presenter Craig Wright. Perfect for the whole family.

Cheltenham BID invites you to ‘Cheltenham Christmas Unboxed’ as part of the Christmas launch 2022. Celebrate with characters such as Toy Soldiers and singing Sugar Mice. You can see two free 15-minutes shows featuring singing, dancing and music to bring joy to everyone. These shows will take place on the Promenade at 5pm, and the Imperial Gardens and High Street at 6:30pm. It’s sure to bring the Christmas magic.

The Christmas Market is something to look forward to once again this year. From Thursday 8th December through to Saturday 24th December, shoppers can enjoy around 80 market stalls along the Promenade. Entrance is free and these stalls will offer lots of opportunities to pick up unique gifts, Christmas decorations and yummy festive goodies.

The Cheltenham Christmas Craft Market will take place along the Promenade on 19th & 20th November, and a Pop Up Christmas Market will be there from 2nd-4th December.

Fancy a Pantomime this Christmas? Dick Whittington and His Cat Tweedy is returning to the Everyman Theatre for this festive season. Perfect for the entire family, it’s ‘an all singing, all dancing, gag filled pantomime paved with gold’.

One for the grown ups, The Cheltenham Christmas Wine Festival. Visit Pittville Pump Room, Friday 25th November, where you’ll be able to taste over 150 still and sparkling wines, plus a selection of spirits too. Tickets are priced at £35, this includes all tasting samples, a printed wine guide and the opportunity to place wine orders. The festival will take place from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Is all of that still not enough for you? Join the Nutcracker Christmas Trail in Cheltenham. Find the names of the 10 Nutcracker Kings in the town centre marked on the trail sheet. Once you’ve found all of the names fill in your details and post it into Santa’s post box in Regent Arcade. Enter for a chance to win a £100 Cheltenham gift card.
