Tuffley Rovers face seventh placed side Roman Glass St George (RGSG) this weekend as the side look to use there three game in hand advantage on those in front to good use to possibly be able to climb up to 13th.

The Rovers haven’t won a game away from home since November of 2022, when they beat Wantage Town 4-2 in a game where Shane Bradley got sent off and also scored three in the same game.

Tuffley are looking to “change” this season according to Mustoe as his side have seen some battering’s, one of which being a 9-1 defeat to Malvern Town in which Neil described as “embarrassing.”

Mustoe also does know that the “results haven’t been what anyone has hoped and that we have moved into a tough run of fixtures but sometimes that’s not a bad thing.” The man in charge does believe that “If the group are focussed and prepare the best, they can then I’m confident we will pick up enough points to see us right.”

Whereas, RGSG have pulled off some impressive results one being their most recent league game against top of the league giants Malvern Town as they managed to pull off a magnificent 4-4 draw where Louis Ward managed to bag himself a brace in a great team performance.

Although the Tuffley boss was quick to shut down the fact his team couldn’t pull off an upset as he believes that “the squad is in good shape, and we will do our best to get a result which will kick start the season.”

RGSG have also been known to let some ‘easy’ games slip though as a 5-4 loss to Cribbs shows the inconsistency that the team with such “talent” possesses.

The former Gloucester City icon also mentioned that they “will be missing some players through injury and work” but “this is no excuse to be losing games” especially “at this level.”

This game is a “make or break” game for Tuffley in which the Gloucester based side will be looking to show the league what they’re “made of.”
