Heineken Champions Cup weekend preview: Who are Bath, Bristol and Cardiff playing and when?

This weekend we have the third round of the Heineken Champions Cup where plenty of English teams are in action across the continent.

Cardiff take on Harlequins tonight, the Welsh side currently sit bottom of Pool B having been winless in their first two games, while Quins sit top with two wins from their two games.

Welsh half-backs Jarrod Evans and Tomos Williams have been recalled along with Josh Adams, Shane Lewis-Hughes and Ellis Jenkins as Cardiff make five changes.

Quins have made three changes themselves opting to start Dino Lamb, James Chisholm and Louis Lynagh as they hope to make it three wins from three when the game kicks off at 8pm tonight.

Bristol Bears take on Stade Francais tomorrow, Pat Lam’s side are yet to feature in Europe this season after two cancellations but will welcome the French side to Ashton Gate.

Lam has made one change with Piers O’Conor comes in at inside centre for the unavailable Sam Bedlow and Steven Luatua returns to take his place on the bench.

Stade Francais have named their XV with the key man being Ngani Luamape, the outside centre played 15 times for New Zealand and scored 40 points for the All Blacks.

Bath take on La Rochelle in France on Saturday, kicking off at 3pm at Stade Marcel-Deflandre, the West country outfit are having a tough season and are yet to win in Europe this season, sitting 10th in Pool A.

La Rochelle have named a strong side with captain GrĂ©gory Alldritt starting as well as Raymond Rhule and Pierre Popelin.

The visitors are without Danny Cipriani, Tian Schoeman, Max Ojomoh and Tom de Glanville through injury and there is a first start of the season for Cameron Redpath who has returned from an ACL injury.

However the Scottish international is featuring out of position at fly-half, when he normally plays as an inside centre.
