While it is a weekend where the top two ladies’ team in the area are without a fixture, we still have a lot of exciting football action to come from within our regional tiers:
Cheltenham Town Ladies don’t have a fixture this upcoming Sunday, but they’ve got a memorable week coming up as not only do they travel to Bridgwater United on Thursday, then they’ve got a three-day turnaround before they host the London Bees at the Completely-Suzuki stadium.
The match at Whaddon Road is a special occasion for all those involved as it features in a double header with the men’s team on March 18. The male Robins play Exeter City kicking off at 3pm before the ladies round off the day with a 18:30 kick off.
The Forest Green Rovers ladies are without a fixture until April now, after coming off a 9-0 win over a Royal Wotton Bassett side as both Estelle Randall and Rhian Robbins both bagged a brace last Sunday.
Moving on to the Gloucestershire leagues. The undefeated Bitton Town Ladies who have only managed to play six games so far this season have managed victory on five of them.
They travel to the Bristol and West Ladies team who are in the title challenge sitting four points behind the leaders, with a game in hand over them.
Bitton most recently beat the table toppers 3-2 in league action at the end of February, with goals coming in the 81st and 89th to secure the victory.
It’s Bishop’s Cleeve Ladies who faces the toughest test of the weekend as they go to top of table Bristol Rovers Development team, Cleeve are five points behind the Gas Girls, but do have a game in hand.
The Mitres sit fifth in the table, albeit just one point of the second placed Gloucester City ladies with two games in hand.

On the other end of the table, Dursley Town Ladies travel to Tuffley Rovers Ladies, as seventh plays eight. If the home team were to win, they would go onto equal points with the Dursley side.
Abbeymead Rovers may be heading on a path to their first victory of the season as they are scheduled to play Longwell Green Ladies who haven’t managed to field an XI so far this.
Abbeymead have had a far from perfect season, conceeding 105 goals in their 12 games, with their most recent league fixture being a 22-2 loss to the Bishop’s Cleeve side.
