Schools across Gloucestershire are closing or are expected to close early today as snow and sub-zero temperatures hit the county.
People are being advised to stay at home to avoid the roads, after a 39-year-old woman from Stonehouse was killed in a crash on the A417 at Crickley Hill yesterday afternoon.

The cold snap is a combination of ‘the Beast of the East’ and the beginning of Storm Emma, causing temperatures to drop to -6 last night. The cold weather is expected to continue into tomorrow and the weekend.
