Tuesday night’s weather forecast affected two of the local non-league games, but Cirencester Town’s fixture still went ahead, as did Evesham United’s last night.
Cirencester Town – 3-1 Win
The Centurions managed to grab all three points at home against North Leigh on Tuesday night, thanks to a first-half brace from top goalscorer Benjamin Whitehead. North Leigh responded just before half-time, but Thomas Anderson put the nail in the coffin to make it 3-1 with ten minutes to go.
That takes Cirencester up to 13th in the Evo-Stik South West League.
BREAKING NEWS
North Leigh have signed Ross Grimshaw on loan, the U18s goalkeeper from Cheltenham Town will be given an opportunity to ply his trade in the lower leagues yet again, after playing for local Gloucestershire side Brimscombe and Thrupp last season.
John Brough, manager of The Yellows, used to be Head of Youth Development at Cheltenham Town and continues to use that link to improve his squad.

Cinderford Town
Cinderford’s Tuesday night fixture at home against Larkhall Athletic was also postponed due to the affect the weather had on the pitch at the Causeway Ground.
No news as of yet about when this game will be rescheduled.
Evesham United – 3-3 Draw
The Robins were involved in an absolute cracker of a game last night at home to Swindon Supermarine that ended 3-3. Adam Mann grabbed a brace for Evesham, with a goal either side of half-time. However, Swindon’s Joshua Grace-Parsons made sure that Mann wasn’t the only one to get two goals in the ninety, as he leveled it up with half-an-hour to go. That result moves Evesham up to fourth in the table, only two points off third.
