Gloucester City set to be re-added into the FA Trophy following Kettering Town expulsion

Gloucester City are likely to be reinstated into the Isuza FA Trophy despite losing to Kettering Town 1-0 on Saturday.

It was discovered that Tyrone Lewthwaite, who scored the winner, was not eligible to play in the competition due to having already featured in the third qualifying round for Bedford Town.

Point 16 (e) of the FA Trophy rules states that ‘a player shall not play for more than one club in the competition in the same season.’
