Two first half tries from each team saw the scores level at 14-14. Emerging Kiwi prospect Levi Aumua was causing all kinds of problems throughout his 50 minute tenure before coming off injured as he scored the Barbarians first two tries, for Bath returning Tom De Glanville and Miles Reid dotted down twice for the home side.
The second saw another brace for a Barbarians player, this time it being Pat Lam’s (Bristol Bear’s director of rugby) nephew AJ lam crossing the white wash twice. His first try was a thing of beauty with him working tandem with his fellow kiwi native McKenzie.
Bath got their two second half tries through replacements Joe Cokanasiga and Wesley White. A late penalty for Bath saw them take a 30-28 lead heading into the final minute, however a stunning McKenzie drop goal from 40 metres out sealed it for the BaaBaa’s.
