Cheltenham Town Midfielder Taylor Perry Returns To Wolves After Loan-Spell

Cheltenham Town have this afternoon confirmed that midfielder Taylor Perry has returned to parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers after spending the first half of the season on-loan at the Jonny Rocks Stadium.

The 20-year-old made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Robins, scoring one goal during his spell at the club.

His only goal was a significant one however, a winner in the 2-1 victory over Charlton back in September.

Despite the youngster’s excellent start with the club, his time on the pitch was soon brought to an abrupt end when injury struck in October and Perry returned to Wolves for rehab.

After a prolonged period of time back at Molineux, it was found that the injury was more serious that first thought and Perry would not return before the New Year.

Manager Michael Duff confirmed that both sides had agreed it was best for the exciting midfielder to return to Wolves for the remainder of the season, yet Duff remains optimistic that he may get to work with Perry again next year if the chance of another loan-deal arises.

Perry faced stiff competition from Callum Wright in the centre of the park, but made an excellent start to life as a Cheltenham player, catching the eye of coaches and fans alike.

The promising young talent has appeared for Wolves’ first team in the Europa League and Carabao Cup, as well as the U-21’s and U-23’s.

Cheltenham continue League One action this weekend as they host Charlton at the Jonny Rocks Stadium.
