Bournemouth appoint Gary O’Neil on permanent basis

Gary O’Neil has been appointed the permanent manager of AFC Bournemouth three months after the departure of Scott Parker.

The ex-Middlesbrough and Portsmouth player lands his first permanent job in the Premier League after working as a senior coach for almost two years.

O’Neil has guided Bournemouth away from the relegation zone and currently resides in 14th place, picking up 13 points from 11 games in charge.

He has signed an 18-month contract that will take him through to the end of the 2023/24 season.
