Cheltenham Town have had a positive first half of the season in Sky Bet League One, in what is their first time back in the third tier since the 2008/09 campaign.
Currently sat 13th in the table and with one of the smallest budgets in the division, it is evident that their transfer business has been effective so far, and the Robins will be hoping the January window will follow a similar suit.
Michael Duff has had a busy start to the window, with his first addition being Ben Williams from Barnsley.
The former Wales U21 left back, made 36 appearances for the Tykes in his four-and-a-half-year stint at the club.
Williams will provide versatility for the Gloucestershire outfit, being able to fill in multiple positions at the back.
He was a integral cog in the 2019/20 season which saw Barnsley escape the drop from the second tier, however a serious knee injury resulted in him being unavailable for last season.
The deal which was an undisclosed fee, pens down the Welshman until 2024.
Dan Nlundulu was the next addition to come through the door, who signed on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
The former England U16 forward, had spent the first half of the season on loan at Lincoln, making 16 appearances and scoring once.
Switching to fellow League One outfit Cheltenham, the Saints prospect will be hoping to find form at his new club similar to his stints in PL2 with his parent club.
However, he will be facing competition for a starting spot after another forward was brought to the Jonny Rocks Stadium shortly after his own arrival, with Charlie Brown signing from MK Dons.
Signing for a undisclosed fee from their fellow League One rivals on an 18 month contract, Brown will provide further depth and options for the front line.
The 22 year old was an important part of the Chelsea youth setup, being a regular goalscorer for the blues academy in his four years there.
At MK Dons, which was his first permanent move away from Chelsea, he has made 26 appearances, scoring three times, however there is definitely more to come from the Ipswich born forward.
He will certainly add a dose of quality to Duff’s side, with the manager hoping to develop the former Chelsea starlet further.
Cheltenham’s most recent addition however could be considered their most exciting bit of business, with Aaron Ramsey set to be coming on loan from Aston Villa.
The 18 year old midfielder, who is currently the captain of Villa’s U23s, is highly rated amongst the clubs ranks and has been at the club since eight.
His older brother, Jacob, has already broken into the first team at the Premier League club, and it seems likely that Aaron will be following his brothers footsteps.
The England youth internationals transfer to Gloucestershire is yet to be confirmed, however the deal appears all but done.
With four incomings already, it will be interesting to see if Michael Duff is content with the business completed or if he will be looking to add even more before the deadline.
With departures of Kyle Vassell, Dan Crowley, Kyle Joseph, and left back Chris Hussey also expected to leave, it would not come as a surprise to see some more movement before January 31st.
