The 7th round of the Women’s Allianz Premier 15 will see Gloucester Hartpury take on local rivals Worcester Warriors at Sixways this Saturday. In what will be the first game of the season where fans will be in attendance.
Both sides will be looking to bounce back from defeats in the previous round. Gloucester-Hartpury were bested by the unbeaten Harlequins, in what was a tough game for the side. Despite England Red Roses players returning from international duty.
Heading into the game Gloucester appear favourites, having won 50% of their games so far this season, and currently sat in 5th position in the table.
The Cherry & Whites have a very strong team this season. The most exciting signing of the summer being Emma Mundy from Leicester Tigers. But with a change in coaching staff could hinder them this season, as it takes time to settle and adjust to new ways.
Whereas local rivals Worcester are all the way down in 9th position having only won one game this season. Although with ball in hand, warriors could prove an attacking threat.
With both sides looking to come back from defeats we are in for an exciting local derby. What a great way to welcome fans back to stadiums to showcase what the Allianz Premier 15 has to offer.
