This season Forest Green Rovers Women have looked a shadow of themselves compared to how they were playing last year. They have already lost the same number of games as they did last year and we’re only seven games into the season.
Forest Green started out like they were going to be able to carry out last seasons form into this season winning three out of there first four but since then their form has been very worrying. They’ve lost their last four games on the bounce.
This form cannot carry on. Most people would have had Rovers as one of the favourites for promotion this season but now they sit fifth having played more games than everyone else in the league.
There is a few clear problems that is causing Rovers problems and one of them is goals. They managed 12 goals in there first four games but in their last four they have only put the ball in the back of the net four times.
The problems continue for Rovers as they are also yet to keep a clean sheet this year and even conceded five In their last game against Pucklechurch Sports Ladies.
Rovers have only won one of their five away games this season and have conceded 11 goals in those five games.
Forest Green’s next game is against Bishops Lydeard Ladies on the November 12 at home. Rovers have won two of their three home games this season and will hope to keep that good home form up.
