So it’s Cheltenham race week.

But there’s a problem. You don’t care about what is going on at the Gold Cup or the sorry state of affairs of the drunken spectators. So what do you do? Well if you’re looking for ideas to avoid the busy and rowdy streets, then you have come to the right place.

Enjoy a gripping musical? The Everyman Theatre is showing Blood Brothers every day next week during the day and the evening. It is an award winning show about twin brothers who are separated at birth but meet much later with crucial consequences.

Fancy an evening of laughs for a night at the Town Hall? Johnathan Pie: Back to the Studio, is a new comedy with a political spin. Head on down on Tuesday 13th at 7.30pm.

Ric James Exhibition 

Abstract painter Ric James is showcasing his New York style pieces. His colourful paintings and sculptures might be worth going to at the Chapel Arts. You can get far way from the race week bustle, check out this free event which is running every day next week.

Suggs, a Comedy Tour 

After the success of his last smash hit show, Suggs is back with another, coming to the town hall. The tour: ‘Life in the Realm of Madness’ is a follow on where he talks about his life story. This event is on Thursday 13th at 7.30pm.

Animal Farm in Theatre

Something a bit more appealing for everyone as the Everyman are putting on a performance of George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm. This is showing on the 16th and 17th.

Looking for something a bit more alternative, The Paragon gallery are holding an exhibition on the Russian Evolution. Taking place all of next week from 10 until 5.30pm, and even better, the event is free.

Watch comedian Katherine Ryan 

Canadian comic Katherine Ryan is coming to Cheltenham Town hall with her stand up tour. The show called Glitter Room is set to be a hugely funny show and starts at 8pm on Friday 16.
