Cheltenham-born racing driver Zak O’Sullivan has made the jump to junior series powerhouse PREMA Racing ahead of the 2023 FIA Formula 3 season.
The Williams Academy driver signs for the Italian team and takes fellow British driver Oliver Bearman’s spot after he moved up a category to Formula 2.
Despite scoring in only five races this season for Carlin, O’Sullivan was still able to score two third-place finishes, with the first coming at his home Grand Prix at Silverstone, after claiming pole position and ending with the fastest lap.
The 17-year-old also won the 2021 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award earlier in the year and was rewarded with an opportunity to drive the Aston Martin AMR21 Formula 1 car just days after completing his first test with PREMA.
