Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said that he has a “Very good” relationship with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of Monday nights clash between Wolves and Liverpool at Molineux.
“I think both of us wish we had more time to become friends, to build a friendship takes time and now we don’t even have the pleasure to join (each other) in our office to share a wine or a beer, something that we enjoy so much”.
Ahead of the clash Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is back in training, having to wear a protective headband after his skull injury which he is still suffering from back at the Emirates in November, Nuno explained the impact the Mexican has had since his return.
“It is a big lift because he’s a fantastic boy, the situation and the doubt that was created he never doubted, he’s always positive, he always has a smile, he’s always engaged to do things.
“That by itself is a big big lift, when you see someone who had something so serious and is so positive about it, Raul is amazing”.
Nuno also touched on how the return of Jimenez to training wouldn’t directly correlate with an improvement in his sides results.
“We need much more than Raul to train with us, we need to improve our players, we need to improve our game, many things in our game but the big lift is seeing players coming back and seeing players improving”.
Ahead of the game against Liverpool, Nuno has further publicised the charity ‘Feed Our Pack’, something which he donated £250,000 to last month, the charity selling virtual tickets ahead of the Liverpool match.
“It’s amazing (to see fans behind the initiative) we cannot thank them enough, it’s not easy, it’s a difficult moment for everybody, already 1,000 have been sold, we’re asking for more because each and every penny of it goes to direct to persons that are more important”.
