Gloucestershire is now in the grip of a red weather warning.
Yellow and amber warnings have been issued and people are being advised to stay at home unless absolutely necessary.

This morning Gloucestershire was forecasted heavy snow showers and it’s feeling rather breezy too across Wales and south-west England.
Cheltenham’s ‘feels like’ temperature is at -12. and at most it’ll feel like -10.

At the moment, the temperature is currently -5 which is expected to stay around -3 and -2.
Tonight, it is also expected to stay around -2. We will have more heavy snow and blizzards.
Tomorrow, temperatures are around -3 until midday, and then a rise to -1, then dropping back down to -2.
The snow is to be accompanied with strong winds – the beginning of Storm Emma with the Beast of the East still lurking.
The Met Office has issued a red warning, as more than 300 people are stranded on a motorway in Scotland in freezing temperatures.

According to the Met Office, a red warning is issued when there is widespread damage, travel and power disruption, resulting in a risk to life. We are to avoid dangerous areas and take the advice of local emergency authorities.
