With going outside being fairly unpleasant in this recent drop in temperatures, we thought we’d list five entertaining, warm locations to prevent you from going stir-crazy.

The Wilson Art Gallery – If you’re looking for some culture, the Wilson Art Gallery has a sizeable collection of intriguing pieces. Why not have a browse and pop into the café for a warm latte? Its sure to make for an interesting, thoughtful day, away from the frosty air.

Mulligans – Mulligans is home to many exciting activities, of which plenty will keep you warm and moving. The mini-golf areas are full of life and wacky themes and will have you forgetting all about the perilous temperatures outside. Or, if that’s not your thing, challenge a friend on one of the two pool tables. Don’t forget to order a toasty burger and fries to really top off your entertaining escape from the tundra.

Cineworld – Everyone loves a good film, and most people love a good film with the intense atmosphere that a cinema brings. If you’re one of these people, treat yourself to a day away from the cold at Cineworld in the Brewery Quarter. Its location makes it easy to watch a great picture, then take a couple steps to one of Cheltenham’s many restaurants.

Frog and Fiddle –  If you like sampling the different beers or wines of a town, then Frog and Fiddle may be for you. Its quirky, artsy atmosphere attracts all kinds of friendly faces, with attentive and pleasant staff. If you feel brave enough to face the outside, Frog has a large beer garden, which even includes heaters, so no need to worry if there’s a particularly strong nip in the air.

Everyman Theatre – Who doesn’t love a great theatre production? Well, maybe a few people, but if you admire the wonder of musicals and nail-biting drama, look no further than the Everyman Theatre. Why freeze in the real world when you can get lost in the tales of a fictional one? With a 675 seat main auditorium, a wide array of performances, and some frequent big names offering their talents, give the Everyman a go. You won’t regret it.
