Emma Raducanu has put injury worries to rest after being named team captain for next month’s Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Glasgow.
Raducanu has struggled for form since winning the 2021 US Open at just 18 years of age.
She was forced to withdraw from the Transylvania Open in Romania last week due to a wrist injury; the latest in a string of injury problems.
The young Brit joins Harriet Dart, Heather Watson and Katie Boulter who have also been selected for the six-day event starting on the 8th of November.
Captain Anne Keothavong will select a fifth team member in the coming weeks.
England have been drawn in a group with Kazakhstan and Spain with the winner of the group progressing to the semi-final. If England win their group, they’ll face either top-seed Switzerland, Canada or Italy.
