Predictions for the coming week reveal that Storm Christoph will be causing journey delays and power cuts across Gloucestershire.
Heavy rain is expected to be seen today at 2 pm, shortly followed by lighter rain for the rest of the day.
The storm is predicted to, unfortunately, return even heavier on Wednesday and Thursday. These weather conditions are expected to cause flooding and even some power shortage.
The weather conditions are expected to start at 12:01 AM on Wednesday and eventually halt at noon on Thursday. This weather will be seen in the Southwest along with Southern and South East England.
Storm Christoph is expected to delay journeys, the M5 had experienced a lane closure but whether this is to do with weather conditions is still undetermined.
To support the people of Gloucestershire, the Gloucestershire County Council has plans of opening up an emergency flood desk to help out with potential highway issues.
The Council stated “we are preparing by clearing gullies & bringing in an emergency flood desk to support highway issues. Be prepared – check out our flood guide and avoid travel if you can.”
