In recent weeks, it’s become apparent that Tottenham’s squad depth is not good enough, and that the fringe players that they have, were not even able to perform against League One Morecambe.
There have been many rumours floating around Tottenham, with Adama Traore the main one as Spurs prepare a bid for the Spaniard, who they are likely to try and convert into a right wing-back. Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has indicated his desire to sign a centre-back, central midfielder and a striker alongside Traore.
It’s looking increasingly likely that three or four Tottenham players could leave the club this month, with Dele Alli, Matt Doherty, Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergiwjn all potential outgoings. Spurs have already rejected a £15m bid from Ajax for Bergwijn.{Sky Sports}
As of yet though, Tottenham have not received any concrete offers for Alli, Ndombele or Doherty.
In terms of new signings, Spurs are leading the race to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, who is out of contract in the summer. {Rudy Galetti on Twitter}

There hasn’t been any set in stone rumours on a centre-back target for Conte’s side, who currently have six senior centre-backs in the team, with only Cristian Romero out injured, but is slowly returning returning to full training.
Up front however, there have been many indications of a transfer for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has been linked to other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Vlahovic has 16 goals and two assists in 20 Serie A appearances this season, and could be an ideal replacement for Harry Kane if he leaves in the summer, or as a back up. Although, there aren’t many strikers that would want to come to Tottenham, only to be a back-up to Kane.
One thing is for sure, Tottenham need signings, and they may operate a sell-to-buy policy, meaning they won’t sign any players until they get some off the books.
As they fight for top four under Conte, they need results, and many Tottenham fans have the belief that the Italian can get those, so the next three weeks will be interesting to see who joins and leaves the club this month.
