THREE reasons why Cheltenham Town shouldn’t underestimate rock-bottom Barnet

Cheltenham Town host Barnet at Whaddon Road on Saturday afternoon with Graham Westley’s side bottom of League Two, but why shouldn’t the Robins underestimate them?

They’re in a relegation dogfight…

Rock bottom of the league and six points adrift of safety, Graham Westley has got a real challenge on his hands this season. However, a win at Whaddon road could give his side a real boost heading into the rest of the season. Of course, the Robins have had their own problems recently and will be looking to pick up three points on Saturday afternoon, but it is vital they don’t underestimate them, as they can certainly pose a threat to Gary Johnson’s side.

Yesterday, Johnson admitted what a tough challenge Barnet could prove to be. He said:

“They’re bottom of the table and people will see it as an easy three points, but we don’t see as that, we have to go and earn it and play well, because the wounded animals are always dangerous opponents.”

The Bees could take advantage of Cheltenham’s poor form…

Cheltenham have been deprived of confidence of late, suffering a late defeat to Mansfield last weekend as Gary Johnson was sent to the stands. The Robins have also picked up just four points from a possible 18 which has seen them fall back down the league two table and the Bees will be anxious of picking up what could be a vital three points, which could help to revitalise their season, as relegation looms for Westley’s side.

Shaquile Coulthirt is a real threat…

Coulthirst has been a real threat for the Bees this season, and will be hoping add to his tally of eight goals for the season when travelling to Whaddon Road on Saturday afternoon. Barnet aren’t doomed just yet, but they need to show some bite and desire, and the 23 year-old forward could certainly cause problems for the Robins backline.
