Gloucester City will entertain East Thurrock United tomorrow in their final home game of the season as they look to push for a top-half finish in the National League South.
Last time out, the Tigers suffered a setback in their resurgence under manager Marc Richards as they fell to a 4-1 home defeat against St Albans City.
East Thurrock have also been going through some bad form of late, losing two games on the bounce going into the mid-table clash on Saturday.

FORM:
LAST 5 GAMES
GLOUCESTER CITY: LDLWL
EAST THURROCK UNITED: LLWWL
East Thurrock’s top-scorer, Sam Higgins, has 21 goals in 36 appearances and will be the visitors’ main threat going forward. One player they will be without, however, is Robbie Cundy after the defender was sent off in their last match for two bookable offences.
Gloucester will need to wary of Higgins; especially considering their first poor run of form under Richards in recent games having won just one of their last five games.
The 36-year-old was assistant to former boss Tim Harris before his departure midway through December and since taking over, he has been successful in changing the Tigers’ fortunes.

Harris managed 23 matches and won just six before he was sacked; whereas Richards has led his men to eight wins in the 19 games he’s overseen in the second half of the campaign – losing seven and drawing four.
Considering the Tigers were flirting with relegation in 18th place prior to Richards taking the helm, he has done a good job in stabilising the club for next season.
Two places separate the sides in the table with East Thurrock in 13th and Gloucester in 15th. But with two games in hand, United have a better chance of cementing a top-half finish this term.
