Pittville to play host to student concert, and everyone is invited!

It’s the start of a new academic year, and with it comes a new batch of students on the University of Gloucestershire music courses. After a short few weeks, many of these students have formed their own bands, and tonight they will be performing in a concert at Pittville Student Village.

Exposure is the key here as, for many of the bands, this will be the first time they are performing in front of a live audience. This means they are inviting people from all over Cheltenham to lend an ear and see if they like what they hear.

One member of the music business course, Harry Birleson, said that the concert is “to introduce them and for the music business students to gain valuable experience putting on their own event”.

The bands will be made up of members of many different courses, ranging from popular music, to sound and music technology. With six bands performing 25 minute long sets, they’re sure to provide a really entertaining evening for music lovers and other new students looking to make some friends.

The concert starts at 6:30pm in the Phoenix Club, at Pittville Student Village. There is no entry fee and visitors are encouraged to bring their own drinks for a long night of dancing.
