Nike have received over 3 million orders for Nigeria’s new World Cup jersey.
The kit is not even released properly until next week but since February’s unveiling, the shirt has been in high demand.
Nigeria’s new kit is supposed to pay tribute to their 1994 World Cup run in USA.
The Super Eagles got to the Round of 16 in America before losing 2-1 to Italy.
This was the furthest the African side have ever gotten in a World Cup and they matched it in 1998 and 2014.
Nike, the kit manufacturers, have claimed they think it will ‘tap into the attitude of the nation’ with the design.
The shirts are part of a collection that features Fast Fit Vapotknit technology to benefit the player’s performance.
Helping with the kit’s promotion, was Premier League trio Wilfried Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
“I grew up in England, but Nigeria is my homeland,” Iwobi told Nike.com
“When I scored that goal (vs Zambia, to qualify for the World Cup), the players were dancing, the fans were playing trumpets and banging drums. There was just so much passion and energy.
“It’s always an honour to wear the white and green. To compete this summer is not just our dream, it’s also the dream of our fans.
“Together, we’ll all represent Naija.”
Nigeria are amongst four other African sides who will be playing in Russia.
Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia and Egypt will all be flying the African flag high.
Nigeria play their first World Cup match on June 16 as they face Croatia in Group D.
