Gloucester’s Louis Rees-Zammit has been recalled to the Wales squad ahead of their Friday night encounter with France.
It’s been a rollercoaster couple of weeks for the 21 year-old who was left disheartened after his omission from the Wales squad to face England in the previous round of the Six Nations.
However, his performances have earned him a spot on Wales’s bench, as Wayne Pivac’s side look to bounce back following their 23-19 defeat against England two weeks ago.
His 50m solo try against Northampton Saints at the weekend highlighted why he was nominated for World Rugby Breakthrough player of the year in 2021.
Talk about an instant impact from Louis Rees-Zammit.

George Skivington lauded the Welsh flyer, who will be missed ahead of Gloucester’s game against Sale on Saturday.
“He’s in good form. Last weekend he really focused in on a few areas of his game.
“He came into that game in a really good headspace. He loves playing for Gloucester so he’s always buzzing when he’s here.
“He knows what his super-strength is so we have to give him a license to go and use it.”
