Liverpool draw Real Madrid in Champions League; Manchester United face Barcelona in Europa League

Liverpool have been drawn against holders Real Madrid in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League in a repeat of last season’s final.

Los Blancos secured their 14th title courtesy of a Vinicius Junior goal in Paris in a match that was marred by crowd control issues, forcing the game to kick off over 30 minutes later than scheduled.

Meanwhile the other three English sides also learned their opponents, with Manchester City and Chelsea facing German opposition in RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Cheltenham-born Eric Dier will be part of a Tottenham side that take on Serie A champions AC Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain will play Bayern Munich in a blockbuster tie, while surprise packages Club Bruges and Benfica meet in an intriguing encounter.

The other two ties to be drawn out were Frankfurt against free-scoring Napoli and Inter Milan will play Porto.

The first legs will be played on 14-15 and 21-22 February, with the return legs taking place on 7-8 and 14-15 March.
