Local rivals Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers are both at risk of having their Saturday fixtures called off due to frozen pitches caused by Storm Emma. The weather has already forced other League Two fixtures to be cancelled.
A pitch inspection will take place at Whaddon Road this morning to determine whether the Robins game can go ahead, with more snow still forecasted later on in the day.
Should the game be postponed it would be a blow to the Robins as they look to follow up an impressive performance away at league leaders Luton last week.

Whether the pitch is playable or not safety concerns for the travelling Notts County fans will also need to be considered. While Cheltenham remains inside the “red” weather warning, this rules out non-essential travel and away fans travelling from Nottingham may prove to dangerous to let the fixture go ahead.
Forest Green Rovers trip to Crewe on Saturday is also subject to a pitch inspection that will take place this morning.

The Rovers are on a great run of form and are unbeaten in 4 heading into Saturday’s game. They will not want the picture to be postponed and halting there charge up the table. The Rovers will be buoyed by last week’s convincing victory against in-form Crawley and will be looking to take this into the game at Gresty Park.
ParkLifeSport urges Forest Green Rovers fans to be careful should they choose to travel to Manchester on Saturday if the result of pitch inspection is positive.
The gap between the rivals now stands at just 4 points and the Rovers have a game in hand to cut this down to just 1 as they look to pull away from the relegation zone.
ParkLife Sport will have more on this story throughout the day with the results of the pitch inspection.
