Hartpury currently sit second in the Uhlsport Hellenic League after their 3-1 win Pershore Town.
Martin Longworth gave his thoughts on the win against the top of the league side saying: “The lads were ecstatic after the win, always means more when you’ve played well.
“It’s one of those games where we knew what we had to do, against top of the league a side that deserves to be there they haven’t dropped points at all.
“For us to dominate the territory, dominate the game and play really well. Feel the way we defended as well, we didn’t give them a sniff”.
Hartpury scored after just four minutes, Longworth reacted to this saying: “For Luca to score a good goal it’s brilliant, We know how good they start they are always scoring in the first 15 minutes so for us to do what they do to other teams to them was amazing”.
Longworth commented on Luca Robinson’s form saying; “Luca’s been phenomenal for us this season, he showed signs last year but has really began to come into his own last February.
“He ended up playing in the under nineteens and winning the league with them last season and he’s come on leaps and bounds since then.
“He did come off injured which means he will be out for a while now so it’s not nice for him and for us”.
Hartpury face Malmesbury next up as they sit second in the league and will need to keep the results positive with third place Milton United having four games in hand.
