“I am happy that I can bring goals to the squad, that’s what I’m here to do” Prestbury Rovers winger Harry Greenhalgh on his fine form in front of goal

Harry Greenhalgh has set himself a goal scoring target of double figures after his electric start to life with Prestbury Rovers.

Greenhalgh has only been at the club for around a month but has already proven himself to be a great addition for Prestbury, adding goals to a squad that was struggling to find the back of the net in the opening stages of the season.

“I am really enjoying myself with Prestbury, it’s a great group of lads and we are on a nice run of form at the moment so hopefully we can keep that up and move up the table.”

Prestbury Rovers are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions, with their last defeat being a tight 1-0 loss to unbeaten Winchcombe Town.

With Prestbury in great form, Greenhalgh is confident his side can secure a win against Shurdington Rovers in their upcoming bout.

“We only played them a few weeks ago and we won 3-2 which was a tough game but I reckon we can definitely beat them at home a bit more comfortably, I hope so anyway!”

Confident in his own goal scoring ability, Greenhalgh sets himself a big target for the season.

“I believe I can definitely get to double digits, I’ve been working on my finishing a lot recently and I want to say it’s working without coming across big headed!”

With goals in his first three starts for the club against Fintan, Shurdington Rovers and Southside Star it is evident that Greenhalgh has an eye for goal and if he keeps up his current form then double digits shouldn’t be a problem for him.

Prestbury have finally found some form after a shaky start to the season but Greenhalgh is optimistic that he and his teammates can push Rovers for a respectable league finish this season.

“We have a very solid team here and I don’t see any reason why we can’t finish in the top four this season or maybe even push higher. We have added some new lads to the team the last few weeks and I think these additions will help us level up and push for a better finish this season.”
