The University of Gloucestershire were beaten 83-76 as they travelled up the M5 to face high-flying Worcester Bears in round 10 of the Gloucestershire Basketball League.
The away side got the better of the first quarter, leading 19-13 thanks in part to first-team captain Toby McLuskie’s nine points, but that was where things peaked for the Raiders.
Worcester pulled back their lead in the second quarter to lead 45-33 at the half-time break and continued to kick on in the second half despite a resilient away performance from UOG.
With their eighth loss of the season so far the Raiders sit ninth in the table whilst the Bears remain in second place, two points behind the table-topping Gloucester Knights.
