The London-born tennis star has fought tooth and nail to get to her current position, crushing Federica Di Sarra in two straight sets only one day prior, and fighting back for two straight sets after a first set loss in her match against Parks.
Dart has now become Britain’s final hope in the women’s qualifiers, her Bristolian ally Katie Swan dropping out earlier today losing two straight sets to Bulgarian national Viktoriya Tomova.
Sitting at world rank number 120, Dart is set to face number 734, Kimberly Birrell in the final round of the qualifiers this Thursday, January 13.
As a clear favourite, Dart can be expected to easily advance to the main draw for the Australian Open where she can stand alongside her British comrade and US Open Champion, Emma Raducanu after her disappointingly early exit from the Sydney International.

In other news from the Sydney International, Gloucestershire local Dan Evans has moved on in the tournament, thrashing Pedro Martinez in two straight sets.
The Spanish national managed a few points off of Evans, but the result was definite, locking in a 16th round finish for Martinez.
Evans moves on to the quarterfinals where he will face the winner of the match between Serbian national Dušan Lajović and American representative Maxime Cressy which will take place tomorrow, January 13.
