The French Open in Paris is just round the corner and we take a closer look at the British contenders competing.
Andy Murray still remains injured with a hip problem, where he has been out of the game since Wimbledon last summer when he was knocked out in the quarter-finals.
Johanna Konta
The 27-year-old has had a slump in performance since the end of 2017 and has carried on during the 2018 season ahead of the summer tournaments.
Konta has only reached one quarter-final so far and currently sits 22nd in the seeding after being in the top 10 for over a year.
Last year at Wimbledon, she reached the semi finals against Venus Williams but was defeated in straight sets.
Konta managed to get to the final 16 during her most recent tournament during the Italian Open but lost to Jelena Ostapenko who finished the tournament second place in the final against Maria Sharapova.
Clay is not her preferred court but she looks to win a match to boost her confidence ahead of Wimbledon.
Kyle Edmund
Edmund has had a particularly strong season and is the main hope for Britain in the men’s singles. During this year he has broken into the top 20, currently going into the tournament sitting at 16th.
The 22-year-old’s main break happened when he reached the semi- finals during the Australian Open and has produced some really promising results on clay.
Edmund has had great success in the Davis Cup tournament and has beaten former World Number 1, Novak Djokovic at the Madrid Open in May.

Cameron Norrie
Born in South Africa, the 22-year-old reached the semi final in the Lyon ATP Open overcoming the second seed.
Norrie played on clay court for the first time during his Davis Cup debut in February.
The left hander is entering the French Open unseeded.
Heather Watson
Watson finished her 2017 season ranked world 86th, only a couple of points higher than her 2016 season. She has experienced a four month loosing streak since January after being defeated in the semi-final during the Hobart International. The streak finished after getting knocked out of the second round of the Nuremberg Cup last week.
The 26-year-old has entered into the second round of Roland Garros five times and hopes to reach into the further stages of the competition this year.
