The England Women’s side faced Spain in the final as they came away 3-2 winners after a hat-trick from Rose Kent.
Woman of the match went to number four Maisie O’Shea who started alongside Ripley.
The women have only made a European final once in Moscow 2006, but this is the country’s first European title.
The men’s side came 7th out of 16 teams, which is their best placed finish in the competition.
Both teams are involved in the World Cup next year, hosted in Sao Jose dos Campos and Sao Paolo, Brazil.
