Forest Green Rovers have just announced the signing of D’Mani Mellor.
Mellor has completed the move from Macclesfield, and came through Manchester United’s academy, after playing for the club at U18, U19 and U21 levels.
He scored seven goals in 13 appearances for the U21S in Premier League 2, making his senior debut for United during the 2019/20 season as he came on as a substitute in the Europa League against FC Astana.
Mellor spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Salford City, making three appearances before joining Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer.
During his time with the Chairboys, he made 13 appearances and had loan spells with Rochdale on two occasions and Sutton United.
He later joined Gateshead on a short-term deal before signing for Macclesfield in September of the 2024/25 campaign, where he has enjoyed the most prolific goalscoring spell of his senior career, scoring 19 times in 39 appearances during the 2024/25 season under current Rovers manager Robbie Savage.
This season has been no different, as he’s picked up 12 in 42, as well as appearing in five games of the Silkmen’s famous FA Cup run.
Mellor will wear the number 44 shirt at Rovers.
