Forest Green Rovers surprise former England player Jermain Defoe with special vegan cheese delivery

Forest Green Rovers have surprised England and Bournemouth Jermain Defoe with a special delivery of their vegan cheese, the striker has revealed in sensational fashion on social media outlet Instagram.

The 35 year-old took to Instagram to describe his delight of receiving the cheese in a shock revelation on instagram. Defoe has made 15 appearances for Bournemouth since returning to the Cherries this season.

Defoe has enjoyed a fantastic career, making a total of 57 appearances for England, scoring on a total of 20 occasions. The forward also helped strive Sunderland towards Premier League safety during the 2015/2016 season, where he scored in 15 of his 33 Premier League appearances.

 

He also had a spell in the MLS, with Canadian-based outfit, Toronto FC as he hit the back of the net 11 times, before moving on loan to Tottenham Hotspur in 2014.

Forest Green Rovers are in league action this weekend as they travel to South Wales to face Newport County at Rodney Parade in the hope of boosting their survival bid, with the club only two points adrift of the relegation zone in 22nd place.
