FA to provide 100 buses for semi-final between Manchester City and Liverpool

The FA will prove 100 free buses for traveling Manchester City and Liverpool fans for their FA Cup semi-final clash.

Both clubs as well as their fans had asked for a postponement to the fixture or a change in location to allow fans to attend easier as no trains were running from either city that weekend.

The game will still take place on Saturday 16th April, kicking off at 15:30 BST.

An FA statement reads: “We are pleased to announce that a limited number of free return bus services will be provided for both the Emirates FA Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-finals involving Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday 16 April to support fans from the North West who wish to travel to and from London.

“The FA will charter 100 buses from Anfield and the Etihad Stadium respectively to Wembley Stadium and back. This will ensure that up to 5000 Liverpool and Manchester City supporters will be able to travel to Wembley Stadium free of charge for their semi-final tie.”

Unlike the men’s semi-finals, the women’s fixture isn’t played at a neutral stadium.

Man City women travel down to London to face West Ham on the same day.
