As we head into the final test of the Ashes, it’s clear to see why England will change up the squad before they face Australia at the Blundstone Arena.
It will be more of a shock than anything if England are able to get anywhere close to a victory in this final test, but maybe with a revamped team, some magic could be drawn up.
Jos Butler has already flown home through injury, and Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow are going to have to try and play through the pain, which might result in the duo being used as specialist batters.
With James Anderson expected to be rested for the final test, the 39-year-old’s career in Australia is potentially over, with his last action being the final ball of the fourth test from Steve Smith.
