Delta Work returns to meet rival Galvin in the 14:55 on opening day at Cheltenham November Meeting

Delta Work:

Delta Work will be a well-known name to most, having won on Wednesday at the festival last year and beating out Galvin to the line. The 10-year-old will be hoping history can repeat itself today as he returns to Cheltenham after his famous win. Both horses are trained by Gordon Elliot and will be taking part in a in the 14:55 Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase and sits second favourite at 7/2, with 13 runners. Keith Donghue will be hoping to see improvement from Delta Work, after he finished 3/5 at Punchestown (October 11) as well as disappointing in the Grand National.

Galvin:

Delta Work has fallen off recently and Galvin and jockey Mr R James will be hoping to take advantage. Galvin is younger at nine-years-old and like Delta Work, also disappointed in the Grand National, his last outing with jockey Davy Russell. Galved last raced on April 15, so will be looking to make a good comeback here. The bookies cuurently have him as favorite to win, at 10/3, and has been tipped heavily by experts to gain his revenge over Delta Work.

An Outsider:

Stable buddies Galvin and Delta Work have clearly been tipped as the favourites to win, but Sean Bowen with Back on The Lash is a good outside shout at 5/1. Harry Redknapp’s part-owned horse won at Cheltenham last year in the January meet, beating out Delta Work; who was clear favourite at 5/2, and could be a good outside shout for punters who want to avoid favourites.
