Forest Green Rovers face a trip up to Crewe Alexandra this weekend, weather permitting.
Mark Cooper’s side come into the game in good form, as they are unbeaten in their last four (3 wins, 1 draw). However, the Rovers form away in the league has been poor, and they are without a win in eight games on the road (2 draws, 6 losses).
Crewe will be beaming with confidence going into this game after a superb display against 9th place Lincoln City, beating them 4-1 away from home. Despite this, Crewe have lost 3 of their last 6 league games at Gresty Road, so they are not a formidable force at home.
Christian Doidge scored twice in the reverse fixture as the Rovers scored in injury time to win 3-2 in what was a thrilling encounter, and you’d have to think he will be key if they are to clinch a result in this one.
Both teams sit just above the drop in 19th & 18th, with Forest Green placed just 3 points behind Crewe, but with a game in hand. A win for Forest Green would put them one point behind Cheltenham with a game in hand, should The Robins fail to beat Notts County.
With extreme weather warnings causing many games to be postponed, we encourage all travelling Rovers fans to keep up to date with our Twitter @ParkLife_Sport, for updates on weather and any cancellations as the news breaks.
Kick-Off: Saturday 3rd March, 3pm, Gresty Road
