Chris Wilder is set to leave Sheffield United after nearly five years in charge according to multiple reports after he led the club from League One into the Premier League within three seasons of his appointment.
The Blades have had a very underwhelming season so far, sitting rock bottom and are currently 12 points off safety with ten games of the season left, having endured the worst start to a Premier League season for a club ever.
The decision comes as a bit of a shock after Sheffield United stuck by Wilder after the Blades were winless after 18 games in the league.
Recently the Blades have had an upturn in results with and have amassed another three victories since their first on the 12th of January against Newcastle; however their results need a drastic upturn if they are going to survive this season.
Last season Sheffield United finished ninth in the Premier League , an impressive debut season after their promotion when the won the Championship, it was their first top-flight season since being relegated in 2006/07.
The Blades are set to face high-flying Leicester on Sunday and are currently looking like they’ll be without a manager for the tie.
