Second half sub Daisy Ackerman seemed frustrated after the 1-0 loss to Oxford United stating “We just need to finish our chances and their goal was from our mistakes”.
Ackerman also had a late opportunity to equalise but described the second half chance as a “nightmare” after leaving the game without a point.
Cheltenham Town Ladies narrowly lost 1-0 to Oxford United in their first home defeat this season in a close fought game where missed chances cost Cheltenham.
Although Ackerman was clearly frustrated, she’s also pointed out the positives from the game claiming she “thought we did well”.
Stating they are going to use the break before the Billericay game to build on top of this performance.
Although there may have been positives, Oxfords 45th minute goal came through poor defending failing to clear the ball and letting an easy shot into the net.
Six games into the season Cheltenham Town sit eighth place with a game in hand on most teams above them, having picked up seven points so far.
There next opponents Billericay have had a very similar start to the season in terms of points so far with the Robinsesses behind by two points with a game in hand.
Despite being next to each other in the table there is huge gap in goal difference between Cheltenham with -14 and Billericay with 3.
