Former Mercedes strategy director James Vowles has replaced Jost Capito as team principal ahead of this year’s Formula One season.
Williams have finished bottom of the constructors’ standings in four of the last five seasons, resulting in Capito stepping down in December after two unsuccessful years at the Helm.
The team will launch their car on the 6th of February 2023, this will be driven by last years Alex Albon along with the new American, Logan Sargent.
Chairman Matthew Savage has put out a statement that says: “He is one of the most highly respected talents in Formula 1 and will bring performance. He has been a key part of some of the most impressive feats in the sport over the past 15 years.”
Pre Season testing will begin on February 23rd in Bahrain with the first Grand Prix also happening there on the 5th of March.
