Still hopeful after a disappointing loss, Volleyball Club Captain Charlie Lambert is proud of his team’s performance.
University of Gloucestershire lost 3-2 to UWE (Bristol), however it was a close game at home.
Opposite Hitter and captain Charlie Lambert described his team as “showing a lot of heart”.
Despite the loss at Plock Court “it’s probably one of the best we’ve played so far this season”
Still looking for their first win, Lambert saw potential from their performance.
“Our blocks were terrifying; some of the other players team look scared to be close to the ball”
Charlie also described the progress of his team from the beginning of the season to now,
“Our attacking and defending have gotten much better”
Training sessions going forward are important to Lambert to improve ahead of their next game against Aberystwyth next Wednesday.
“We need to work on our communication; I don’t think we’re doing it enough. That’s something I’ll be grilling into training next week.”
