Gloucester City will be looking to carry on momentum from their impressive 3-2 win against Farsley Celtic as they face Darlington tomorrow.

The victory meant that the Gloucestershire outfit were able to create a five-point gap against bottom of the league Farsley, and manager Lee Mansell was delighted with his team’s efforts.
“To create a gap now [From Farsley] is good for us.
“It’s a really good response from the players in a difficult position to be in, performances generally have been pretty decent over that tough period so it’s nice to get a little bit of a pressure reliever and have a comeback win for the first time this season.”
City will be chasing back-to-back wins as his side looks to start climbing up the table and escape the relegation zone.
A win against Darlington could see the Tigers form a three point gap from the drop, and Mansell wants to make sure his side keep fighting.
“The mood has always been very good.
“I won’t tolerate people being down in the dumps, as I’ve said before we are where we are and we have to work hard to get out of it, in terms of the general mood around the place there has been a lot of pressure.”
City and Darlington met earlier on in the season, with the teams sharing the points in a 2-2 draw. Ollie Hulbert scored twice to put city 2-0 up by the 55th minute, however a ten-minute spell saw Darlington draw level, causing the points to be shared on the day.
Points were shared when the sides played each other earlier on in the season, where City were unable to hold on to their two goal lead, with the game ending 2-2.
Darlington are sat in 14th, and they are coming to the New Meadow Park off of a 2-1 win over fellow mid-table side Chester FC.
Mansell’s City has been faced with injury woes recently, however his side will have some welcomed returns over the next week, one of which being Fabian Robert.
The French midfielder had been out following a concussion protocol, but is now back at full fitness.
“There’s no real worries on Fabian, he was fit and took a whack in the Hereford game really late on which resulted in the concussion protocol, he’s now served that so he can go back into football full time.”

There is slight concern with Matt McClure however, who has been out for a lengthier amount of time.
“My only really worry is with Matty is that he’s been out for well over a month, so we just have to be very careful because the next 15 games are pivotal to this season and we want as many fit bodies as we possibly can so we just have to be very cautious how we treat him.”
Returns are the horizon for Tom Harrison and Jack James who have both been sidelined with long term injuries, however Saturday will be too soon for them.
“We’ve also got Tom Harrison and JJ who are at this moment probably 3 weeks away from resuming back into full time training, both are on the grass actively running which is fantastic to see.”
The Tigers will host Darlington at New Meadow Park this Saturday at 3pm.
