BREAKING: Gloucester City sign striker Rhys Kavanagh on month’s loan deal from Bristol Rovers

Gloucester City have added to their attacking ranks by signing Bristol Rovers forward Rhys Kavanagh on a month’s loan deal.

Marc Richards’ side have struggled to score goals this season and Kavanagh could well help them with their survival bid in the National League South this season. the Tigers are currently just five points adrift of the relegation zone.

The Tigers manager has been keen to add a striker to his squad and the 19 year-old could help score the goals they need to keep them up this season. The youngster started his career at Newport County, before making the switch to Bristol Rovers’ development side in 2017.

He could be in contention to start on Saturday, with Gloucester hosting Chippenham Town in Evesham – the Tigers’ top scorer Joe Parker, has a mere seven goals to his name and Kavanagh could partner him up front on the weekend.
