Who were the winners and losers from the Bahrain Grand Prix?

Ferrari already look like the team to beat this season with the Scuderia claiming their first win since Sebastian Vettel took to the top step of the podium during the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix.

With the new regulations coming into play for the first time, it was a fresh start for all teams going into the first race of the season in Bahrain.

Charles Leclerc endured a thrilling battle with World Champion Max Verstappen to claim his third victory in Formula 1, while teammate Carlos Sainz took second.

The Redbulls looked fast, with Verstappen matching the pace of Leclerc for most of the race and Sergio Perez giving Sainz a run for his money.

That was until both RedBulls faced an engine failure within three laps of each other resulting in both cars retiring from the race.

The surprise in the paddock was with HAAS. They landed p5 and p11 with Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher respectively.

Two teams who appear to be struggling are Mercedes and McLaren.

The Silver Arrows appear to have a porposing issue with their W-13. Despite these issues, they still managed to get Lewis Hamilton on the podium, finishing third and George Russell finishing in p4

Where as McLaren seem to lack any race pace they had last year, with Lando Norris finishing p15 while Daniel Riccardo finished one better in p14.

This weekend F1 returns to Jeddah, and if it’s anything like last years race, we should be in for another thriller.
