Whistling from fans and players, Prime MVG and more Littler dominance Premier League of darts Night two Review

Reigning Premier League champion Luke Littler gained his first points last night after winning a controversial night two in Glasgow.

Littler started his night in a thrilling game against Rob Cross. The 18-year-old fought back from being 5-1 down to win 6-5.

The game was not without controversy, with the Glasgow crowd whistling throughout the game but it was Littler who completed the comeback. 

Michael Van Gerwen was next for the World champion in the semi-finals after producing some of his best darts in his quarter final against Stephen Bunting with a 109 average and dispatching the fan favourite 6-1. 

Although, Littler had too much for the Dutchman and advanced to the final after a dominant 6-2 performance. 

On the other side of the draw, it was Gerwyn Price who started his night off with a roar after a competitive 6-4 win over Nathan Aspinall. 

World number one Luke Humphries booked his place in the semi-finals with a convincing 6-4 win over Chris Dobey featuring a 106 average. 

Price and Humphries competed in the second semi-final of the night which was another tense affair filled with whistling from the crowd. 

The fiery Welshmen responded to the crowd by whistling back at them, but it was the Englishmen who advanced to the final after a 6-4 victory to give us another Luke against Luke final.  

The final was a close and competitive game with further crowd whistles infuriating both players but an outstanding final leg from Littler saw him pick up hist first Premier League night win in 2025. 

Humphries keeps his place at the top of the table following his night one success with Littler moving up to second after a victorious night. Bunting and Aspinall remain pointless after two nights.  

Night 3 will be on Thursday, February 20th in Dublin with Humphries playing Bunting, Price against Littler, Cross against Aspinall and Van Gerwen against Dobey.
