Gloucester Rugby come into this in great form winning their first two games in the Premiership against Newcastle Falcons and Harlequins.
The Cherry and Whites are also unbeaten over the season with them not losing a game in the premiership cup where a couple of sides had slip-ups against the Championship sides and one of them was Saracens who lost to Coventry.
Saracens are struggling at the moment with two losses from two games with a heavy defeat to Exeter first game of the season.
This can be deceiving as Saracens are missing 11 players who are still at the World Cup so we are seeing their second team out at the moment but they have the Fijian Eroni Mawi back into their squad for tonight’s encounter.
Gloucester make four changes from their side which beat the Falcons last week with Krilli Gotovtsev, Freddie Thomas, Albert Tuise and Alex Hearle come in at three, five, six, and 14 respectively.
Friday night delight 😁

Gloucester sit joint second with Bristol with Bath top by one point, at the other end of the table Saracens sit rock bottom on zero points and a point difference of 64.
The reigning champions hope to get their first win of the season after a successful campaign last year being victorious in the grand final against Sale Sharks after missing out in the final the year before.
In the recent Amazon Prime documentary Mud, Sweat and Tears which was filmed behind the scenes for last year’s semi-finals and finals, they Focused on Saracens saying that it felt like their year with salary cap situation and loss in the final to Leicester Tigers in 2022 they felt it was there year in 2023, so this leads to are we seeing a hangover from last year or just the amount of players they are missing are costing them at the moment.
The West country team will be going into this game as favourites but you can’t underestimate Saracens who are seven-time premiership champions but they have only scored 26 points this season compared to Gloucester who have scored 47 points.
🗣 “Friday nights are very special here.”

Gloucester have the highest rate of tackle success this year at 85.8% whilst Saracens’ stats aren’t so impressive with them last year having an average of 3.95 tries per 80 minutes but this year in their first two games they have scored three tries in total.
Saracens have a boost for tonight’s fixture as they welcome back Hugh Tizard from a foot injury who was their young player of the season last year he spoke to SaracensTV when he said “We’ve had a tough start to the season but have had a very positive week and are all going out to put things right this weekend.”
Gloucester will still miss Wales international Louis Reese Zammit who is recovering from an injury he picked up in Wales’s loss against Argentina at the Rugby World Cup but director of rugby George Skivington hints that he won’t be long until we see him back on the pitch at Kingsholm when he spoke to Gloucestershire live this what he said on the matter “it is only a minor bump but I will make sure it is right before I put him back in.”
